Bulk Cargo

Bulk cargo is part of the “original core business” of our company and has been developed successfully for years. For example, we have shipped million tons of solid fuel as well as other products such as fertilizer, coal-tar pitch, timber, grain, potash products, etc.

Looking after the forwarding of solid or liquid bulk cargo or large quantities of general cargoes shipped from place of manufacture to the consignee is one of our specialties. In so doing, we attach great importance to the development of the entire transport chain including a selection of the most suitable transport carriers and handling and storage businesses. Our service is individually geared to the product in question, taking the customer’s cost and quality requirements into account.

We are supervising all transport and loading/unloading processes and organize the taking of samples, we supply or issue the necessary documents and attend to all official formalities required (e.g. at customs or veterinary authorities).

Bulk cargoes require special product knowledge. We ensure observance of all product-  specific regulations in order to guarantee the maintenance of product quality right through from consignor to consignee.

As a specialty, we offer the possibility of packing smaller bulk parcels, which cannot be shipped as bulk cargo owing to their quantity or due to transport and/or storage problems in the consignee’s country, in bags of approx. 50.- kg or big bags of approx. 1,000 kg unit weight or of loading as bulk cargo in OT or box containers in order to enable them indeed to be shipped.
